Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Temporary Electrical Technician in Great Yarmouth for a hands-on role supporting a busy workshop team. No formal qualifications are required, but practical experience with electrical tools and familiarity with Health & Safety are essential. This temporary position offers £13 per hour with around 37 hours a week. Immediate starts available.

Temporary Electrical Technician – Great Yarmouth

Are you confident with electrical tools and equipment? Do you want a hands-on role where you’ll be part of a busy workshop team straight away?

Our client is looking for a reliable Electrical Technician to join them on a temporary basis, providing cover while they recruit permanently. This is a great opportunity to get stuck in, put your skills to use, and support the next generation of electricians

What’s on offer:

  • Pay: £13ph
  • Hours: 37 per week
    • Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:00
    • Friday: 08:30–16:30
  • Contract: Temporary (approx. 8–12 weeks)
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Weekly pay through Select Recruitment
  • Supportive team environment with varied, hands-on tasks

The role:

  • Setting up and maintaining the electrical workshop
  • Ordering and organising equipment and materials
  • Supporting tutors during workshops and assessments
  • Assisting students with practical tasks and equipment use

About you:

  • No formal electrical qualifications required
  • Practical experience with electrical equipment, tools, and processes (e.g. from work, training, or self-taught)
  • Familiarity with wires, plugs, and general electrical components
  • Comfortable with Health & Safety practices
  • Organised, reliable, and confident working with others
  • Able to start work at short notice
