A leading water utility company in Wantage is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to ensure the operational efficiency of its plants. You'll perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in standby rotas. We are currently recruiting for Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team in our Wastewater Division to be based out of our Wantage Sewage Treatment Works.
As a successful candidate, you will use your mechanical & electrical knowledge as well as your experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision, ensuring that all of our sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.

Base Location: Wantage - OX12 0DL
Working Pattern: 38 Hours Monday- Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm. Plus standby & overtime opportunities increase earnings by a potential £8,000 - £10,000 upon completion of essential company training.
All PPE and tools are provided.
You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering with an upskill in mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
