Are you interested in building a career for yourself as an Engineer? Would you like the opportunity to work on our bespoke packaging line, utilising hi-tech 6axis pick and place robots and fully automatic palletisers?

Here at GXO, we are looking for a multi-skilledTechnician to join our team based at our Heinz site in Wigan. The position is to cover the maintenance of the Company's Repack operation and NDC automation equipment.

This is a full time, permanent position. This role will be on a 3 shift rotation, 6.00 to 14.00, 14.00 to 22.00 and 22.00 to 6.00 (Sunday - Thursday for nights and Monday - Friday for the other shifts).

We're looking to offer a salary of £40,655 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Maintain and support our production lines to ensure maximum uptime and performance
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and lead root cause analysis to prevent future issues
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and engineering standards
  • Support breakdowns and servicing across key areas, while keeping the workspace clean and compliant
