A leading reinsurance broker in the City of London is seeking a Technical Team Lead to oversee the handling of technical and administrative functions. This role involves managing reinsurance contracts' documentation and reconciling payments while liaising with brokers and clients. An established reinsurance broker is looking to recruit a Technical Team Lead to enable them to bring various technical functions in-house.
The role is critical to ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of technical and administrative aspects of reinsurance candidates. You will be responsible for managing documentation relating to reinsurance contracts, including lips, endorsements and bordereaux. In addition, there will be the requirement to process and reconcile premiums and claims payments between brokers, insurers and reinsurers, whilst liaising with brokers, underwriters, clients and reinsurers to resolve queries and ensure smooth communication.
As this will be the first incumbent in this capacity, the new hire will be tasked with hiring and training further members of the team in the short to medium term, so previous team leader / managing experience is essential.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have solid experience with insurance / reinsurance systems (e.g. XChanging, PPL, IBS etc) and have experience working within the support team / technical team within a reinsurance or insurance brokerage previously. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reinsurance and a passion for delivering high-quality support to brokers.
