Overview

We are seeking a technically proficient and client-focused System Analyst to support performance capability management across key systems. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for a long-standing financial services client, ensuring system reliability, performance measurement, and technical support across various platforms. The role is based in Milton Keynes with ad hoc travel (1-2 times per month).

Responsibilities
  • Measure and monitor system capability and performance across multiple platforms (e.g., Linux, Windows, Mainframe).
  • Act as the main liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proactive system enhancements.
  • Support system availability and reliability through incident remediation, compliance checks, and operational improvements.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including network diagrams and configuration records.
  • Assist in evaluating client hardware/software requests for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of system-related projects and updates.
  • Travel to client sites on an ad hoc basis (1-2 times per month) as required.
Qualifications
  • Good technical IT skills, ideally with exposure to systems administration or software support.
  • Understanding of system performance and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • BA/BS degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to technologies and environments.
  • Desirable (but not essential): Exposure to system infrastructure principles.
  • Familiarity with banking or financial systems.
  • Experience with ClearPath or similar mission critical systems.
