Technical Superintendent Oil Tanker

Location: London

Permanent

Full-Time, Hybrid

Overview

As the single point of contact for a group of assigned vessels, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and modifications. You’ll work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure vessels remain fully operational, compliant, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, dry dockings, and major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and class regulations.
• Provide technical and operational support to vessel crews.
• Monitor vessel performance, budgets, and operational costs.
• Conduct vessel visits, audits, and inspections.
• Mentor and support Masters and Chief Engineers.
• Act as the primary commercial coordination contact for assigned vessels.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will have sailed as a Chief Engineer AND have shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent or within a similar capacity.

The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of technical operations, along with a desire to drive continuous maintenance and operational condition of the company’s vessels.
