A respected organisation in Greater London is seeking a Technical Specialist – Safety & Security to advance safety and security systems across critical operations. You will lead technical design, support sales teams, and oversee project deliveries while mentoring engineering teams. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience with enterprise-grade systems, expertise in leading VMS platforms, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Acting as the technical design authority for safety and security projects.
  • Producing low-level designs and configuration templates for engineering teams.
  • Providing 3rd-line technical support for complex issues.
  • Mentoring and developing the safety and security engineering team.
  • Engaging directly with customers to provide consultancy and solution briefings.

Skills

5+ years designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise-grade security systems
Experience with at least one leading VMS and one enterprise access control platform
Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and virtualisation
CCNA-level networking knowledge or equivalent experience
Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills

  • Access control: Gallagher, Lenel, PAC, Genetec
  • Integrated platforms for single-pane-of-glass security management
  • Windows Server / Virtualisation / VMs
  • Networking fundamentals (CCNA-level) – routing, switching, VLANs
Requirements
  • 5+ years designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise-grade security systems
