Job summary

A leading analytical instrumentation firm is seeking a GC-MS Technical Specialist in the London area. This role involves developing methods, supporting sales, and training customers. Must have at least 3 years' experience with GC-MS instruments and strong communication skills. You'll travel approximately 50% of the week to customer sites. Qualifications

Overview

A world leader in analytical instrumentation is seeking an accomplished, ambitious and commercially astute GC-MS Technical Specialist. You will act as a Technical Expert; no day will be the same, travelling to labs, meeting customers and helping with a variety of analytical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Aiding in the development of customer GC-MS methods
• Demonstrating analytical methods/proof of concept
• Providing technical support to the sales team
• Providing customer training and post-sales support
• Attending high-profile industry conferences, presenting technological advancements and helping to build the company\'s customer base with a focus on mass spectrometry instrumentation

Opportunities

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced scientist to utilise their wealth of GC-MS, method development/troubleshooting experience in a new exciting role and work with the company\'s latest GC-MS/MS technology.

Location and travel

Based from home; travel approx. 50% of the working week around England to customer sites or the applications laboratory, with occasional overnight stays.
