A leading engineering firm is seeking a Technical Shopfloor Engineer for their Broughton site. This role involves supporting production teams, solving technical issues, and ensuring adherence to operational excellence. Candidates should have manufacturing engineering experience and good communication skills. The position offers full onsite work and requires a BPSS clearance. Hourly rate is £36.00 per hour with a 20% shift uplift.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing engineering experience required.
  • HNC qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience working to regulatory requirements and constraints.

  • Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT).
  • Support in identifying, analysing and solving technical issues.
  • Provide an E2E perspective at the shopfloor level.

Overview

Role: Technical Shopfloor Engineer

Location: Broughton, Flintshire. Fully onsite.

Hours: Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon, Monday to Friday. Mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm. Afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm.

Clearance: BPSS required to start.

Hourly Rate: £36.00 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35. + 20% shift uplift.

Responsibilities
  • Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT).
  • Support in identifying, analysing and solving technical issues not directly manageable by the Operators & FLM.
  • Provide an E2E perspective at the shopfloor level within the production team / APT in Airbus.
  • Support continuous production enablement by efficiently utilising available resources & knowledge.
  • Contribute to the Operational Excellence targets within his/her area by adhering to continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Support in identifying Non-Conformance on the shopfloor.
Requirements
  • HNC qualification would be desirable
