Overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen at Cranswick Country Foods Poultry site for you to join as a Factory Manager.

Purpose of the role

To develop and maintain site Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance to customer Codes of Practice, Cranswick Manufacturing Standard and that required standards and legislative requirements are met.

The key elements of the role are
  • Governance for development of site based procedures to ensure compliance to Cranswick Manufacturing stand, customer Codes of Practice, 3rd party accreditation standards and the legislative requirements.
  • The Technical Services Manager will participate in the investigation and documentation of responses to non-conformities raised via customer complaints and Second or Third Party audits.
  • Governance of the site HACCP, Allergen, Integrity, and Internal Audit programs to provide robust food safety systems for the site.
  • Drive system improvement with site teams by analysis, trending, and review of all data streams to identify areas of improvement, (customer complaints, non-conformance, micro etc).
  • Liaison with suppliers and customers and ensuring all required review mechanisms, (presentation/KPI reports etc), are completed on time.
  • Advising other members of the Senior Management Team about quality, food safety and legislative requirements, including food safety culture and integrity
  • Keeping abreast of changes in technology, legislation and customer requirements to ensure that the company is always fully conversant with the latest information.
  • Ensuring all specifications are in place, signed and up-to-date and factory specs / QAS are correct and easy to follow
  • Ensuring export documentation is completed on time
  • To drive continuous improvement through the site via technical projects and systems
  • Participate in the process design, validation and implement any additional system requirements.
  • Deputise the Technical Manager in their absence at site, divisional, and customer meetings
