Overview

Technical Sales Manager, Northamptonshire. Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum + 10-20% target-based bonus and £5,500 car allowance.

Our client is a systems integrator providing turnkey power solutions to healthcare, data centre, and property management customers. With over 100 employees in the UK and £40-million turnover, this business was recently acquired by a FTSE 100 group, positioning them for growth and providing additional opportunities for development. They have recently had an increase in enquiries from the Data Centre market, providing a new target market for their growth.

The Role
  • Target a network of potential customers in the Data Centre market, on a desk with the potential to generate £10-million revenue
  • Attend events and exhibitions, building a name and reputation for the business in the Data Centre industry
  • Liaise with internal proposals engineers to ensure technical designs are correct, and present these to customers
  • Manage an average of 20-30 enquiries with average order value of £1.5 million
  • Work collaboratively with other Technical Sales Managers in the business to ensure all customer enquiries and leads are addressed
The Candidate
  • Experience in Technical Sales in a B2B service and solutions environment
  • An understanding of electrical engineering in order to communicate technical solutions between internal and external stakeholders
  • Be a strong communicator and team player, aiming to work as part of a sales team
  • Ambitious with the desire to take ownership of a desk and build a new market for the business
