With a client-base of well-known brands, they provide a variety of innovative plating solutions to a large number of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical and power generation, to name a few.

They completely understand that their talented workforce are at the heart of their success and always ensure that they are well rewarded. Due to strategic expansion, the new role of Technical Sales Engineer has been created which would perfectly suit either a current Technical Sales Engineer or a Technical Specialist looking to move into a customer-facing role. They’ll provide the perfect working environment and support for you to grow with the company and reach your individual career aspirations.

Does this sound like the type of company that can offer you an exciting next step of your career?

Responsibilities
  • Effectively managing all customer enquiries, acting as the first point of contact for all customer requirements, ongoing account management and advising the customer on technical matters, ensuring customer needs are understood within the business.
  • Managing the customer quotation process, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner and liaising with production staff to ensure technical feasibility and pricing according to process configurations.
  • Managing samples of new product enquiries, defining (with production) the necessary process steps as part of the company’s work instructions.
  • Ensuring all pricing is maintained in accordance with business needs and ongoing cost variations (materials, energy, labour etc).
  • Actively marketing the company and collaborating with the group’s marketing team to generate new enquiries, new customers and more enquiries from existing customers.
  • Supporting customer visits, either onsite or at customer premises.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is measured with feedback shared within the business to support ongoing improvement of the company’s customer service.
  • Supporting benchmarking activities including competitor analysis, to actively increase the company’s market share and revenue.

Qualifications

In an ideal world, my client would like to find either a current Technical Sales Engineer or Technical Specialist with electroplating experience; however, they are also open to considering people from alternative metal finishing processes such as anodising and heat treatment. Regardless of previous expertise, you will be results-driven and enjoy staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
