Are you a collaborative technical leader who thrives on guiding teams from concept through to successful silicon delivery? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We are now seeking an experienced Project Technical Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical success of our programmes across global teams.

Purpose of the Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and Bid Lead, you will define the technical strategy and delivery approach for each project, ensuring that engineering teams execute effectively, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll champion a strong systems engineering mindset – communicating clearly, anticipating risks, and making informed technical decisions to secure first‑time silicon success. You will also represent Aion Silicon in customer‑facing technical discussions, negotiating and aligning expectations on scope, requirements, and milestones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical delivery of complex SoC/ASIC projects across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure teams deliver against agreed specifications, timelines, quality, and cost targets.
  • Drive collaboration and alignment across inter‑functional teams and technical workstreams.
  • Identify, manage, and elevate risks and support change control where needed.
  • Mentor and support engineering contributors, ensuring clarity of roles and priorities.
  • Support project planning and resource allocation with the Project Manager.
  • Own technical decision‑making within your discipline, ensuring consistency and best practice.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Track and report technical status, risks, and KPIs.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering multi‑disciplinary SoC/ASIC programmes (e.g., Architecture, RTL/Front‑End, Verification, DfT, Physical Design).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capability, able to drive clarity and performance in teams.
  • Confident decision‑maker with strong risk management and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear and credible communicator, both internally and with customers.
  • Experience in customer‑facing technical discussions and shaping Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Comfortable reporting progress, risks and status to stakeholders.
