Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Manager for a food production facility in the Dungannon area. The successful candidate will manage the Quality Management System to meet BRCGS standards, lead audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the Food Processing Industry and relevant qualifications in Food Safety are required. This permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to a busy operation.

Qualifications

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the Food Processing Industry.
  • Working experience of BRCGS Food Standard Version 9 and Major Retailer Standards.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site through all 3rd party and customer audits.
  • Update and maintain the Supplier Approval Risk assessment.

Job description

Job Role: Technical Manager in Dungannon area Industry: FMCG

Our FMCG client based outside Dungannon have an opportunity for a permanent Technical Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Operations Manager, running a busy and growing food production facility and will report directly to the Managing Director.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage the Quality Management System to meet the requirements of BRCGS Food Standard, version 9
  • Update and maintain the Quality Management System and Procedures Manual in-line with BRCGS requirements and customers codes of Practice
  • Lead the site through all 3rd party and customer audits and complete the corrective action for any issues raised
  • Management of the site HACCP plan
  • Update and maintain the Supplier Approval Risk assessment and approval documents for suppliers of raw materials, packaging and service suppliers
  • Maintain Internal Audit System schedule and co‑ordinate close out of the NC's
  • Manage Customer complaints to ensure all customer complaints are closed out according to the agreed timeframe
  • Complete monthly KPI summary for the management meeting
  • Manage New Product Development within the site
  • Training of new staff and refresher training of current staff to site procedures
Person specification
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the Food Processing Industry
