We're partnered with a well-established and market leading HVAC manufacturer that is continuing to expand its UK operation following several strong years of growth. With increasing order volume, a growing field sales presence and a strong pipeline of technically complex work mainly covering data centre projects, the business is now looking to appoint an experienced Technical Inside Sales Engineer to strengthen its internal technical team.

This position has been created as part of a wider investment into technical capability and supporting planned team growth through the year. The focus of the role is firmly on HVAC application support and technical problem-solving, rather than transactional sales.

The Role - Technical Inside Sales Engineer

Reporting into the Technical Manager, you'll act as a key technical point of contact for customers and the external sales team, providing detailed HVAC application support across a wide range of enquiries.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to technical HVAC enquiries throughout the day from customers and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting external sales with applications, quotations, schematics and technical recommendations
  • Reviewing system designs and advising on best-fit solutions for specific applications
  • Running through HVAC applications and explaining how systems and individual components operate
  • Delivering technical product training to customers and internal teams
  • Attending customer meetings and site surveys where required
  • Supporting and managing lower-spend accounts internally as part of the wider team
Ideal Candidate:

You’ll come from a strong HVAC background with proven application knowledge and the ability to explain how systems operate at a detailed, component level. As the technical team continues to grow, you’ll be able to support more junior engineers and confidently present technical information to customers.
