As the Lead Technical Delivery Manager within TSG Delivery, you will play a central role in facilitating the successful delivery of technical projects across Railpen.
You will take ownership of delivering technical projects, workstreams and software solutions within the established TSG Delivery Governance framework, ensuring high‑quality outcomes that strengthen Railpen’s overall technical capability. Your work will span a wide variety of initiatives including software engineering, infrastructure uplift, security enhancements and business change technology workstreams.
You will manage and influence business stakeholders, technical teams and third‑party suppliers, ensuring alignment, clarity and momentum throughout the lifecycle of each project. Operating independently, you will lead large‑scale projects of work or oversee multiple smaller projects simultaneously, adapting your delivery approach across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid methodologies, and supporting the full software development lifecycle for in‑house engineering.
The successful candidate will be an experienced technical delivery professional who thrives in a complex and evolving environment, combining strong leadership with a collaborative and inclusive style.
You will bring the ability to build and maintain high‑performing delivery teams, ensuring people are empowered, motivated and supported to grow, and you foster a culture where continuous learning and innovation are encouraged. You have a natural ability to create productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, taking time to understand their needs and ensuring delivery goals remain aligned with business objectives throughout each project. You are confident navigating delivery across diverse methodologies, selecting the right approach for the context and ensuring consistent standards are upheld.
