Technical Associate - Research & Development

Location: Marlborough, MA 01752

Duration: 12 months contract with possible extension

Payrate: $32.00/hr. on w2 basis

Job Description
  • 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in the chemical industry or a similar environment.
  • Experience with a diverse range of analytical equipment, including SEM, XRF, XRD, wet chemical techniques, and surface analysis methods.
  • Familiarity with electroplating techniques and electrochemistry. Hands‑on experience in electroplating. Strongly preferred.
  • Curiosity and excitement to learn about the electronics industry.
  • Experience with application testing of electronic devices. - Preferred
  • Experience with corrosion science or surface science. Preferred
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or certification. Preferred
  • Adept at hands‑on lab work, creative thinking, and problem solving in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
  • Conduct experiments and evaluations independently.
  • Assume responsibility for executing project workflows, including electroplating, wet chemistry formulation, chemical analysis, and device functional testing.
  • Collaborate with R&D and other functions to successfully deliver against project goals and timelines.
  • Clearly and concisely communicate research to team members of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Ensure compliance with personal and process safety practices, product integrity, and environmental stewardship.

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a scientific or engineering field. Preferred. Will accept Masters 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in the chemical industry or a similar environment.
