Job description
Overview

To support the Senior Medical Administrator in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical teams within the Bolton Adult Community Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified within the typing.
  • Answer and manage calls from service users and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals.
  • Book appointments for service users and send all relevant correspondence relating to service user appointments, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Undertake audio/clerical duties for the team of medical staff including minutes of meetings, typing of clinical letters and reports, and clinical activity data inputting onto the electronic patient record system ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • Be the first point of contact for patients, carers and other external agencies. Liaise with GP surgeries, social services, coroner's office and other hospitals. Be part of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Some reception cover in times of absence, booking of patient appointments and managing of medical teams diaries.
