A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a maternity cover for a planning role. The position requires strong planning and organisational skills, with a focus on developing Locality Plans and a Workforce Plan. This is a maternity cover for a period of up to 12 months. This role leads on a number of statutory planning functions and requires someone with strong planning and organisational skills. The role also leads on a number of strategies and plans and experience developing strategies in a public sector environment would be desirable. The postholder will be expected to lead the development of Locality Plans and a Workforce Plan with the support of the wider team and monitor the delivery of the newly developed Strategic Plan for 2026-2030.
