Team Manager(Social Work) – Safeguarding & Support Team

Team Manager – Social Work Safeguarding & Support Team – Hereford UK £41.42 Hourly. Join our team for three exciting months in a full-time role that promises to make a real difference. Based in the picturesque South Locality of Ross-on-Wye, this locum role pays £41.42 per hour via Umbrella or Ltd arrangements and offers an accommodation allowance of up to £150 per week, alongside a generous travel reimbursement of 45p per mile for business mileage. We, at Herefordshire Council, are on an inspiring journey to enhance the lives of children and families through dedicated and experienced social work managers who can lead our Safeguarding & Support teams to greater heights.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage one of our five social work teams, directing social workers and family support workers with the assistance of a Managing Practitioner.
  • Oversee case management with a focus on enhancing outcomes for children, ensuring the highest quality of supervision and clear case direction.
  • Undertake complex child in need and child protection work, including PLO pre-proceedings, care proceedings, and adoption processes.
  • Act as a formidable agent of change, implementing service and quality improvement methods to meet challenging performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of restorative practice and relationship-based collaboration within your team and across the service.
