Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Team Manager within the Adult Safeguarding Team to work Full Time based in Haringey.

The salary for this permanent Team Manager job is up to £62,766 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • To manage and supervise a team of Social Workers, Care Managers, Social Work Students and Administrative Staff. This will include recruitment and resourcing, induction and development and the management of employee staff productivity and conduct using the formal management processes where necessary.
  • To identify staff training needs and ensure high-standards of professional practice through systematic individual and team development as well as the management of staff performance and productivity.
  • To manage the workload of the team, ensuring that the care management process is robust, that assessment of need demonstrate good practice and that case reviews are carried out on time.
  • To support the Council in providing analysis of the use of the Care Authorization budget and to identify areas where the financial efficiencies would be achieved to ensure best value.
  • To contribute to overall service planning and the implementation of service developments, work with health professionals in ensuring seamless services for adults in relation to hospital discharge, continuing and palliative care and joint packages of care.
  • To ensure that carer involvement is paramount, and that carers assessments have high-priority.
  • To ensure that casefile recording and client information if maintained on the social care system, completed according to standard and linked to Performance Indicators.
  • Understanding, knowledge and ability to follow guidelines that ensures compliance with Health & Safety ay Work, Data Protection and other statutory requirements.
  • Understanding and commitment to promoting and implementing the Council’s Equal Opportunities policies.
  • To undertake any other temporary responsibilities aligned with the overall purpose and grade of the role.

Requirements of this Team Manager role:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
