Overview

We are looking for a Team Manager who can roll up their sleeves, get things done, support and grow their team and develop themselves further. Responsibilities
  • Lead a team, driving engagement whilst role modelling ID Logistics values
  • Maintain high standards of communication with your teams
  • Coach colleagues to be the best they can be through continuous development, ongoing coaching and feedback including regular 121s and formal performance reviews
  • Hold regular 121 conversations with warehouse colleagues to discuss performance, opportunities and development with future potential and succession planning
  • Deliver effective and meaningful shift briefs and regular briefs to your teams, ensuring clear communication channels of relevant information
  • Organise teams effectively, allocating work while monitoring progress to meet customer service requirements
  • Deliver effective people management processes in line with Company Policy, ensuring key activities (e.g., payroll) are processed in a timely manner
  • Prioritise the needs of the Customer with a customer-focused approach in operational activities and decision making
  • Deliver sustained KPI performance, understanding the business/cost implications of decisions
  • Use forecasts and trends to plan for short- and long-term requirements
  • Accountable for the quality control of dispatch sortation items
  • Maintain the accuracy and security of stock through appropriate systems and procedures and compliance with agreed processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the operation to deliver site results
  • Keep Health and Safety at the forefront and coordinate regular H&S checks on site
  • Adopt a mindset of continuous improvement to best deliver for our customer
Your Skills & Experience
  • Ideally you will have at least 12 months experience in or stepping up into a Leadership position
  • Previous experience working within a warehouse / logistics operation
  • You will hold, be studying for, or be happy to undertake a Level 3 Leadership (or equivalent) qualification
  • Proven experience driving performance in a results-oriented environment
  • A people-first leadership style that engages and motivates your team
  • Agile, able to respond to changes and support new initiatives
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence colleagues, peers, managers and other stakeholders
