Overview

Are you an experienced administrator ready for a rewarding challenge? Be part of a team that empowers young people to build brighter, independent futures. We are looking for a passionate and organised Team Leader - Admin Supported Housing Young People to lead our administrative operations across our young people services. This role is perfect for someone who understands the unique needs of young people and is comfortable working in a service environment, including occasionally covering reception at our foyers.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily administrative operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Supervise, coach, and support Customer Service Officers, promoting wellbeing and development.
  • Allocate workloads, set priorities, and monitor deadlines for efficiency.
  • Develop and improve administrative systems and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and filing systems.
  • Organise meetings and events, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and submit management information (e.g., quarterly returns).
  • Monitor budgets, process expenditures, and support financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, health & safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide confidential support to Service Leads and managers.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience providing confidential administrative support at a senior level.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, and motivating staff, with strong team leadership skills.
  • High level of IT proficiency, including advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database/spreadsheet use.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, systems, and equipment to support efficient operations.
  • Positive, customer-focused approach, with the ability to influence change and continuously improve processes.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field or willingness to work towards it.
  • Desirable: Experience working in housing, social care, or supported accommodation settings.
  • Desirable: IT knowledge, including Visio and specialist databases.
  • Desirable: Experience preparing for audits, inspections, or regulatory reviews.
Terms and Benefits
  • This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week; bandwith hours are 8am to 6pm.
