Worker Category: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Grade 12 – £43,860 - £47,829 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Working Hours: Various – full and part time

Contract Type: Various – permanent and fixed term

Closing Date: 4th January 2026

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team!

We work across the Charnwood area and work alongside other agencies such as health, schools, social care and community organisations to support children and their families. We support families by doing one to one work in the home or running drop-in sessions or groups within our Family Hubs.

This role will manage a team of Keyworkers and Family Support Workers working both on Targeted Early Help cases and Children in Need as well as having some oversight of group work and duty cover.

Please note that there are 3 roles available – please indicate your preference in your application:

  1. 1 x 37 hours per week, Permanent
  2. 1 x 37 hours per week, Fixed term / Secondment until 31st July 2026
  3. 1 x 30 hours per week, Permanent

About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
  • Significant experience of working within children and family services in a multi-agency environment
  • Experience of supporting staff and teams to maintain, develop and improve outcomes for children, young people, and families, ideally including case supervision and management oversight
  • Experience of working within an outcomes driven framework and working in an environment dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Knowledge of the triggers and barriers faced by children and young people and methods of identifying and engaging early, those vulnerable to poor outcomes and Knowledge of child development and the needs of children and young people
  • Demonstrate the ability to build powerful relationships across stakeholders, peers and partners creating open and transparent relationships based on trust and demonstrate the ability to lead and deliver sustainable, collective high performance, through inspirational leadership of people, setting clear priorities, and a strong approach
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical, practical, and procedural approaches that help improve the lives of children and young people, and demonstrate an improvement in their outcomes
  • Demonstrate the need for voices of children, young people, and their families to be heard and ensure this is used to help to shape service delivery and outcome planning for children and families.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
