Job description

A well-established manufacturing site in Bolton is looking to appoint a Team Leader to support production operations on either an afternoon or night shift.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, keeping teams aligned, and ensuring daily plans are delivered safely, efficiently, and to standard.

You will act as the link between Supervisors / Management and the shop floor, maintaining pace, standards, and engagement across your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support production teams on either the 2-10pm or 10pm-6am shift.
• Deliver daily production plans, ensuring output and quality targets are met.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, food safety, and GMP.
• Monitor performance including productivity, waste, and attendance.
• Support training, coaching, and day‑to‑day people management.
• Escalate issues promptly and support problem‑solving on shift.
• Promote a right‑first‑time, disciplined working culture.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Team Leader within manufacturing or FMCG (food experience preferred but not essential).
• Confident people‑management skills with a practical, calm leadership style.
• Ability to work at pace and make sound decisions during shift.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working a fixed Monday‑Friday afternoon or night shift.
