Job summary

A local education authority is seeking a qualified practitioner for a special educational needs role at Forest Oak School, which serves pupils aged 4-18 years with moderate learning difficulties. The position is full-time, spanning 32.5 hours per week during term time, offering a salary between £24,796 and £25,583 (pro-rata). Applicants should have relevant childcare qualifications and experience working with children. The role starts on 1 February 2026, or as soon as possible.

Position Details
  • Salary: B Band – £24,796 – £25,583 (pro‑rate); £18,671 – £19,264 (Actual Salary).
  • Post: 32.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday) – Term time only – 39 weeks.
  • Fixed term to 31 August 2027.
  • Working pattern: Monday 8.30 am – 4.20 pm; Tuesday to Friday 8.30 am – 3.20 pm; plus 2 parents' evenings each academic year.
  • To start: 1 February 2026 or as soon as possible.
