A local educational institution in Manchester is looking for a Full Time Teaching Assistant on a fixed term contract. The role involves supporting teaching staff and helping students access learning. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants and will assist pupils in their personal needs and learning activities. This is an opportunity to contribute positively to the educational environment and support children's development.
Contract Type: Fixed term
Working Hours: Full Time, 32.5 hours per week, 5 days per week.
Number of Positions: 1
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
Start Date: 23/02/2025 or as soon as pre employment checks are completed
Salary: £25,185- £25,989 per annum pro rata based on a term time only, 32.5 hours per week contract.
The post holder will report to the class teacher and Year Group lead.
To support access to learning and provide general support for the school in the management of pupils and resources, as directed by senior staff.
Under the guidance of the class teacher, provide support for pupils who require help to enable access to learning and to assist in the management of pupils.
Provide specialist support in a specific area of curriculum and to supervise groups and occasionally whole classes for a session/lesson in the classroom or outside the main teaching area as required.
