Qualifications

  • Recent experience in supporting children in a school setting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of different types of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD.
  • Legal right to work in the UK and subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

Teaching Assistant

Empowering Learning is currently looking for a SEND (Complex needs/ASD) Teaching Assistant based in Esher. The role is a long-term position starting as soon as possible. Initally, we will assign you to a site in Leatherhead for training for two or three weeks then move you over to Esher full time.

We are looking for someone committed, enthusiastic and flexible to join a friendly and professional team.   • Good organisational skills, as well as flexibility and willing to work as part of a team.

  • The ability to develop positive and caring relationships with children
  • A positive person who can work as part of a dedicated team and is able to offer commitment to the life of our school community.
  • The ability to support a child with specific learning difficulties and some understanding and knowledge of different kinds of SEN including ASD, SLD, PMLD
  • Recent experience, skills or knowledge of supporting children in a school setting would be an advantage.
