Job summary

A local educational institution in Newquay is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students across multiple roles with a total of 26.83 hours weekly. The position includes 9.33 hours as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), 16 hours as a Teaching Assistant (TA), and 1.5 hours as a Wraparound Assistant. This is a fixed-term role until 31st August 2026, and applicants should have experience working with children and a commitment to safeguarding. The ideal candidate will foster students' growth and ensure their well-being.

Job description
What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 26.83 hours per week. The hours are as below. The TA hours will be worked in the mornings.

  • 9.33 hours per week – HLTA
  • 16 hours per week – TA
  • 1.5 hours per week – Wraparound Assistant

All three roles are term time plus 2 INSET days and fixed term until 31/08/26.

The proposed interview date is 15th December 2025.
