A local educational authority in England is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with children with significant needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN children, demonstrating patience and a positive approach to interactions. You will work as part of a dedicated team, supported by training, to ensure a safe and effective environment. This role includes benefits such as local government pension and employee assistance programs, and it is a fixed-term contract until July 2026.
31.25 Hours per week (normally 8.30am to 3.15pm) - Fixed term contract to July 2026, in the first instance.
We currently have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work with children with significant needs. You will be joining our committed and highly professional team. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with SEN children and children with challenging behaviours.
You will be a team player, with a flexible attitude who can respond to the needs of our children. Training will be given, and you will be supported by our dedicated team and SENCO.
We have two classes per year group from Reception to Year 6, as well as a Nursery (term time). Our school community is wonderfully and richly diverse with families from all over the world, of all faiths and none.
