A local educational institution in Yelverton is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to support children aged 7-19 with autism and emotional needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teachers and contribute to students' engagement and wellbeing. The role offers £12.60 per hour pre-probation, rising to £12.80, along with various benefits such as training opportunities and wellbeing support.
Experience working with children and young people who have social/emotional difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
Ability to adapt support to meet the individual needs of students, enabling progress in their learning.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including basic ICT proficiency.
Demonstrates high emotional availability and resilience.
Able to stay calm and composed under pressure.
