Job description

Vision for Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools based in central Swansea on a supply basis as and when schools require cover. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who can support young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties that are in mainstream classes.

This role involves working with Children with SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental health issues) and EBD (Emotional Behavioural difficulties). This role of a Teaching Assistant requires a committed, empathetic, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with great communication skills that has experience working with Children with behaviours that challenge. You will be able to engage children that have become disengaged from Education and encourage and offer them support and guidance.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
  • Experience of working with pupils with social emotional mental health difficulties
  • A passion for the progress disengaged students
  • An ability to work as part of a team
