Teaching Assistant – Classroom Support & Routine Assistance

Location: South Shields
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time + Training Days
Start: Immediate
Pay: Strong, competitive daily rate

This role is ideal for someone who loves being hands‑on in the classroom, helping pupils with additional learning needs access lessons, develop routines and engage with their peers.

Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils during lessons to access the curriculum
  • Helping pupils settle into routines and transitions
  • Assisting with task organisation and learning reinforcement
  • Observing and communicating pupil needs to teachers
  • Being part of a respectful, collaborative team

You’ll bring

  • Some experience supporting children (education, care or volunteering)
  • A calm, patient, encouraging manner
  • A willingness to learn specialist approaches
  • TA qualification desirable but not essential
