Location: Telford
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30

About the School

This is a special educational needs school which caters for students from the age of 4 to 18 with Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant, with experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) — this could be with children or adults — to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will support pupils in accessing the curriculum, aid their personal development, and contribute to their overall well‑being and progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivering learning activities, adapting materials and methods to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Work one‑to‑one or in small groups to support learning, behaviour, communication and social development.
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, helping them feel secure, respected and included.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured and calm learning environment.
  • Observe, record and report on pupils' progress, sharing information with teachers and other staff to inform future planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers and external professionals as required.
