Teaching Assistant – Middleton

Pay: £103.95-£110 per day

Start: ASAP or after notice period

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Providing targeted support to pupils who may need additional help
  • Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Supporting behaviour management and encouraging positive engagement
  • Helping to maintain an organised, safe and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school, such as supporting break and lunchtime duties when required

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is eager to learn, and can build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children, ideally in a school or similar setting
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy and a proactive approach
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Can follow instructions effectively but also use initiative when needed
  • Is committed to safeguarding and supporting the well‑being of pupils
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS
  • A welcoming and supportive staff team
