Hoddom Primary School

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to work 14 hours per week within the Brydekirk / Hoddom Partnership based at Hoddom Primary School on Thursday & Friday. This position is temporary up to one year to cover Maternity Leave. It may be suitable for a Secondment; agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying on a secondment basis.

Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT, in the appropriate sector.

This post involves Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

Applicants who have resided outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, must also provide a police record check from the police authority in the country or countries of residence.
