Job summary

A vibrant academy is seeking an experienced Teacher of Geography to join their team on a full-time basis until August 2026. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to outstanding teaching practices and be skilled at working with students and communities. Responsibilities include teaching KS3 & KS4 Geography and undertaking pastoral duties. A PGCE teaching qualification and QTS are required. The role is set to begin in February 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 Geography.
  • Ability to work in partnership with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Undergo safeguarding training as required.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography to KS3 & KS4 students effectively.
  • Develop outstanding teaching practices.
  • Undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor.

Our client has a requirement for an experienced Teacher of Geography to work full time at their vibrant academy. The role is to start in February and is fixed term until August 2026.

Experience
  • Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 Geography.
  • Experience of AQA specification desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to developing and sharing outstanding teaching practice.
  • The ability to work in partnership with students, parents, staff, academy council and the wider community.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and undertake pastoral duties as a form tutor will be a key requirement.
Qualifications
  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE
  • QTS
