An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Coventry. This role would suit either an ECT English Teacher seeking a strong induction and mentoring programme, or an experienced English Teacher looking to join a department with high expectations, clear structure, and a shared commitment to literacy and progress.
As an English Teacher, you will be part of a collaborative department focused on developing confident readers, writers, and communicators. The English team works closely to ensure consistent approaches to curriculum delivery and assessment across all key stages.

Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Planning lessons aligned with the national curriculum
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
Contributing to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom routines
Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
Strong subject knowledge in English
Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
