Job description
Overview

3 days a week, term time only (39 weeks). Salary according to qualifications and experience. Queen Elizabeth's Girls' School (QEGS) is a high-achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive converter academy with excellent CPD opportunities. The school is a founding member of the International Coalition of Girls' Schools (ICGS) and a member of The National College, providing extensive professional development resources.

The post is within the Inclusion department. You will be joining an experienced, collaborative, supportive and successful team in one of the top schools nationally. The timetable may involve KS3–KS5 and students. You should be passionate, inspiring with excellent communication skills, and a reflective lifelong learner with strong pedagogy.

The school is conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from High Barnet tube station, with complimentary on-site parking, and access to fitness facilities and extensive grounds.

Responsibilities
  • Support students to develop appropriate skills in English as an additional language (EAL).
  • Contribute to an inclusive learning environment within the Inclusion department.
  • Engage with relevant CPD opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance pedagogy and student outcomes.
  • Plan, prepare and assess (PPA) with allocated time; flexibility to depart early after lunch one afternoon per fortnight during a PPA-identified period.
  • Demonstrate reflective practice and high standards of communication with students, colleagues and families.
