Responsibilities
  • Teach Chemistry across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Lead and/or participate in extracurricular activities offered by the department.
  • Use ICT innovatively in STEM teaching and assist in promoting STEM as a career choice for pupils.
  • Participate fully in the life of the school, including boarding aspects, with a strong commitment to extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible teaching approach.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Teaching experience at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 Chemistry.
  • Experience teaching any STEM subject to GCSE students (advantageous).
  • Personal qualities: Highly proficient scientist, confident teacher across the senior school; enthusiastic, organised, team‑player; independent and initiative‑taking; reflective practice; energy and enthusiasm to inspire pupils.
