Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Art and fashion teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and guide students on their creative journey?

We are looking for a creative and inspiring Art and Fashion teacher to join our vibrant and talented team of art, design, fashion and photography teachers within our Outstanding College. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator with a passion for both traditional and contemporary artistic expression, as well as fashion design and textiles.

Role Details
  • Part-time temporary role, 4 days a week - Monday to Thursday (0.782)
  • Salary: competitive salary (pay award pending) and generous holidays with access to the Teachers Pension Scheme
  • Location: Bexhill College, Penland Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, TN40 2JG
Responsibilities and Courses
  • Contribute to a range of courses including T level in fashion, level 2 and level 3 art courses and the BTEC fashion certificate
  • Inspire and teach students in both traditional and contemporary fashion and textile practices
Skills and Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level
  • Skills in pattern cutting and excellent technical sewing techniques
  • CAD skills would be an advantage
  • Passion for teaching students the skills they need to thrive in the fashion industry
Experience and Environment
  • While previous post-16 experience is an advantage, it is not essential; many staff have joined from a pre-16 environment
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS certificate required
  • Candidates must complete an application form and provide a covering letter
  • An online search is completed as part of the application process in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements
