Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Art and Photography to support our Senior School Art, Textiles and Photography provision at Notre Dame School. Our Academic and Extra Curricular Art and Design plays a fundamental role in our whole school from Prep School to Sixth Form. This role has the benefit of being one day per week, so it could be facilitated alongside another role. Our GCSE and A-level grades have been excellent, with students meeting and exceeding projected outcomes in the subject. We have full facilities for Art, Textiles and Photography, a comprehensive catalogue of equipment, support from Art Technicians, and a schedule of extracurricular Art activities.

You will be a self-motivated individual who will play a crucial role in teaching and fostering success in the subject. You will be an accomplished teacher in Art and Photography with energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for inspiring young people.

Responsibilities

• Teach Art and Photography at Senior School level and contribute to Art and Design provision across the school as appropriate.
• Support GCSE and A-level delivery to support high achievement and progression.
• Utilise available facilities, equipment and Art Technicians to support practical teaching and learning.
• Engage in the school's extracurricular Art activities and encourage student participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote high standards and cohesive delivery within Art, Textiles and Photography.
• Commit to delivering the role on a one-day-per-week basis, with flexibility as required.
