What skills and experience we're looking for

Potential applicants should be:

  • a trainee teacher who is successfully completing placement(s) teaching in KS3, 4 or 5 (applicants currently in training)
  • a colleague with a successful record of teaching with strong examination results at one or more of KS3, 4 or 5 (applicants who have already gained Qualified Teacher Status).

Applicants should have:

  • a strong honours degree in Mathematics, or in a subject containing a considerable amount of Pure Mathematics.
  • Passionate commitment to the power of education to ‘change the deal’ for disadvantaged students.
  • a detailed knowledge of current developments in education, including the effective use of the Pupil Premium and/or the 16-19 Bursary Award.
  • the ability to put vision into practice.

Mathematics and Further Mathematics and Computer Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in Key Stage 5 to achieve highly in Mathematics and Further Mathematics and Computer Science. This opportunity is open to Early Career Teachers and to more experienced colleagues.
