A state-integrated college in Canterbury is seeking a Teacher-in-charge of Music for a full-time, fixed-term position. Marian College is a Catholic state-integrated school for girls (maximum roll 430) in Northeast Christchurch. In 2023 we moved to a new school campus and are now focused on promoting excellence across all Learning Areas. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic teacher-in-charge of music for a full-time, fixed-term (parental leave) position.
Our well-resourced department, which includes a modern music suite, including practice rooms and recording studio, requires a highly skilled and motivated educator on a fixed-term basis due to parental leave. The facilities allow for amazing opportunities for both students and staff to engage in a wide range of musical experiences.

A willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Character of the school is a condition of appointment. An understanding of liturgical music an advantage but not essential.
