Overview

Key Stage 1 Teacher

Area: Peterborough

Salary: 145- 260p/day (pay varies depending on experience and age)

Start date: September 2025

Monarch Education are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teacher with the relevant qualifications or references needed for Teaching in UK Schools. This role will be full time, 5 days a week and during term time only. There is the opportunity for this role to become temp to perm.

Ideal candidate
  • Hold QTS
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be able to plan lessons thoroughly or follow other plans created by Teachers
  • Lead a class of 20-30 children
  • Work on a casual basis
Main Responsibilities
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work and working 1:1 with these pupils
  • Managing difficult behaviours
  • Taking the register
  • Supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of children's work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the children's progress
