Tax & Trusts | Legal Director | Norwich

A senior opportunity to lead within a well-established private wealth platform, taking strategic responsibility for a specialist Trusts and Estates Tax team while advising on high-value trust structures and complex client matters. This role offers real influence, autonomy and long-term progression within an ambitious, nationally recognised practice.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading and mentoring a dedicated group of Trust and Executor Tax Executives
  • Taking responsibility for day-to-day operations, financial oversight and workflow management
  • Managing a varied portfolio of complex trusts, estates and associated tax matters
  • Conducting KPI reviews, SRA matter reviews and quality-assurance processes
  • Overseeing trust accounts preparation and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
  • Handling technical advisory queries on trust taxation, administration and reporting requirements
  • Supporting the development of the firm's Trust Corporation offering
  • Driving internal initiatives to enhance processes, policies and service delivery
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, trustees and internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration with partners, private client advisers and wider teams on cross-practice matters
  • Assisting with FATCA, CRS and TRS reporting and ensuring rigorous compliance controls
About You
  • Extensive experience in trust administration, taxation and estate management
  • Strong understanding of trust accounts and compliance frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop junior members of a team
  • Comfortable managing complex client relationships and a significant portfolio
  • Strong organisational, operational and quality-management skills
  • Experience with Trust Corporations or corporate trustee structures is beneficial
  • A collaborative leader who enjoys shaping service development and driving improvement
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and technical accuracy
