We're looking for a Tax Assistant, part qualified or with equivalent experience, to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns (corporation tax, VAT and CIS) for the Clarion Group under the supervision of the group Compliance Tax Manager.
- Undertake reconciliations of relevant tax ledger accounts and ensure that tax process documentation is kept up to date.
- Be proficient in operating IT systems with a strong working knowledge of MS products, in particular Excel, and similar desktop applications.
- Contribute to advisory projects and consider ways to further improve existing compliance processes and update the compliance process documentation as required.
- Draft VAT returns and tax notifications, prepare CIS returns and corporation tax computations in time for statutory filings.
- Use excellent time management and organisation skills to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
- Part qualified or equivalent experience; previous compliance experience, strong Excel capabilities, and a willingness to learn new systems are essential.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
