Overview

Location: Greater London House, London

Salary: £36,923 - £45,586 per annum

National - £33,592 - £41,990 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

We're looking for a Tax Assistant, part qualified or with equivalent experience, to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit tax returns (corporation tax, VAT and CIS) for the Clarion Group under the supervision of the group Compliance Tax Manager.
  • Undertake reconciliations of relevant tax ledger accounts and ensure that tax process documentation is kept up to date.
  • Be proficient in operating IT systems with a strong working knowledge of MS products, in particular Excel, and similar desktop applications.
  • Contribute to advisory projects and consider ways to further improve existing compliance processes and update the compliance process documentation as required.
  • Draft VAT returns and tax notifications, prepare CIS returns and corporation tax computations in time for statutory filings.
  • Use excellent time management and organisation skills to prioritise and complete tasks with limited supervision.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Part qualified or equivalent experience; previous compliance experience, strong Excel capabilities, and a willingness to learn new systems are essential.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
