Job Title: Talent Acquisition Apprentice

THE C4 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

Our Apprenticeships are full‑time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You will spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home. The formal training will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and, in some cases, residential boot camps.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
  • You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts. There is no upper age limit.
  • You need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE.
  • You cannot have already completed the qualification being offered or a similar one at the same or higher level.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
  • Finding brilliant people to join C4 across our Creative, Commercial and Operations divisions.
  • Supporting line managers in recruitment and talent processes, e.g. setting up interviews, asking the right questions, making offers, providing feedback to rejected candidates.
  • Working on varied projects such as new joiner induction, careers site and recruitment technology/system development.
  • A small team with a busy, varied workload, recruiting 200–300 roles a year and delivering a great candidate experience.

This apprenticeship suits someone looking to start a career in HR or recruitment, with a focus on resourcing/talent acquisition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Posting and updating job descriptions on internal systems and external platforms.
  • Utilise social media to promote opportunities.
  • Learn how to shortlist and process candidates in our ATS.
  • Assist with selection processes.
  • Book interviews and utilise HireVue.
  • Liaise with hiring managers and candidates – respond to queries via the recruitment inbox.
  • Support the administration of the new induction process.
  • Work with external suppliers such as agencies.
  • Provide constructive feedback to candidates and process offers.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Verbal and written communication skills – e.g. dealing with customers, teamwork, writing emails, etc.
  • Attention to detail – e.g. proofreading, cashing up tills.
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks – e.g. planning events, balancing work and study.
  • An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4’s remit.
  • Confirm you have Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above.
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service.
  • Confidence to learn and use multiple recruitment technology systems.
  • Passionate about diversity and inclusion.
  • Thrives by being busy, keen to learn and not afraid to ask questions.

RELOCATION
