Job description
Job Summary

Exos is hiring a Tactical Physical Therapist to work with military personnel to prevent potential injuries associated with flying and maneuvering aircraft. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable, resume building experience in a tactical setting while working with fighter Aircrew to optimize their physical readiness and long-term health. Tactical Physical Therapists will work as part of a multi-disciplinary performance team and perform the following duties :

  • Reviews and evaluates Aircrew records to determine physical therapy treatment requirements
  • Performs tests, measurements and evaluations and record findings to aid in developing and / or revising specifics of the treatment program or training program
  • Administers appropriate treatment as indicated. Instructs, motivates, and assists Aircrew to achieve their goals
  • Updates treatment plan and / or reevaluates patients as needed to ensure optimal outcome
  • Documents work performed in approved electronic record systems
  • Comply with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols
Interacts and consults with other medical services

Educate Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies

Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy from CAPTE-accredited program.

5+ years' experience as a PT in Collegiate, Professional, Olympic, Tactical (military), Aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting man-machine high-performance. Experience must include recency within the last 2 years.

Current CPR certification including AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation)

At least one of the following :

  • ABPTS OCS or SCS certification; or
  • Orthopedic or Sports residency / Fellowship Trained; or
  • Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) and Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification.
