Qualifications

Job description
Systems Engineer - SCADA/ GeoSCADA:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team, as a Systems Engineer working predominantly in the SCADA team, you will be responsible for the full life cycle delivery of the project in both technical compliance and quality. Attending meetings with clients to discuss the design, surveys, software programming, configuration, testing and commissioning for projects.

As a SCADA Systems Engineer, you will bring an innovative approach to problem solving, you will be working with highly skilled engineers to help you develop and succeed in your career.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment and good knowledge of SCADA systems, in particular GeoSCADA, Wonderware / AVEVA System Platform, FactoryTalk View SE or WinCC, and knowledge of instrumentation & process control automation.

Full-time position 08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays. Role includes UK site commissioning (which may involve short periods away from home).

Duties include:

  • Writing detailed functional design specifications
  • The configuration of system architecture, network connections
  • Production, modification, testing and commissioning of SCADA software
  • UK Site commissioning (which may involve short periods away from home)
  • For Lead positions we would look for the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers to get the best output.
Required Skills / Experience

  • Software Engineering Degree and/or Electrical qualifications
  • Ideally certified in GeoSCADA, AVEVA Engineer or Wonderware System Platform training with 2 years+ experience
  • Knowledge of Siemens WinCC, Rockwell FTViewSE or Wonderware Historian Configuration is highly desirable
  • Experience in PLC Programming (Rockwell or Siemens) would be highly beneficial
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
